His new album, More Light, produced by Randall Dunn and featuring Gelsey Bell, Robert AA Lowe, Eyvind Kang, Josh Modney, Jessica Pavone, Alaina Ferris, and Mark Dover, will be released in 2026.

In 2024, the opera Ali—co-written by Brent Arnold, Grey Filastine, and Walid Ben Selim—premiered at the legendary opera house La Monnaie in Brussels, Belgium. Brent is one of the founding members of Ghost Quartet with Dave Malloy, Gelsey Bell, and Brittain Ashford. In 2021-2022, he orchestrated and conducted the performances of Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe’s score to Candyman (Universal Pictures), the critically acclaimed motion picture directed by Nia DaCosta and co-written by Jordan Peele.

As a composer, arranger, and cellist with hundreds of credits in recorded and live music, film, theater, dance, and opera, he has worked with contemporaries including Randall Dunn, Zola Jesus, Arun Ramamurthy, Zosha Warpeha, Eyvind Kang, Jessika Kenney, Walid Ben Selim, Drew McDowall, Gelsey Bell, Dave Malloy, Alaina Ferris, Steve Von Till, Saadet Türköz, SQÜRL (Jim Jarmusch & Carter Logan), Robert Aiki Aubrey Lowe, Wally Shoup, Jessica Pavone, Wayne Horvitz, Reggie Watts, Filastine, Lia Ouyang Rusli, DJ /rupture, Hassan Wargui, Ben Copperhead, and Hiro Kone.
